about the project

Dragged Through Time explores over 1000 years of gay history. It is told through the eyes of 13 year old Isaac, who is on a journey of self-discovery. Through this journey, he finds himself transported back in time through a series of vivid daydreams. Each day dream of the past resonates with his experience in the present.

This film combines the gritty realist style we have developed over recent years, but we have combined it with a colourful and original multi-disciplinary approach: dance, music, surrealism, costume drama and more.

The project was made in partnership with Windsor & Eton Pride, where we premiered the film in July 2025. We drew on a wide range of local venues for locations and a large array of extras, young and older, from across the community. We were also thrilled to have established actors Ian McKellen, Scott Handy and Jamie Beamish guest star in the film.
